This Privacy Policy explains how carteNatale (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to your privacy. This policy is written in plain language so you can understand exactly what happens with your data.
carteNatale is an iOS application that creates astrological natal charts and compatibility analyses. The application is operated by an independent developer (“we”), reachable at the contact email below.

When you use the App, you may enter: - Your name or a label (optional, used only to display the chart) - Birth date and time - Birth location (a city, geocoded to coordinates and timezone using Apple MapKit and CoreLocation) - For compatibility analysis: the same information for a second person
This information is referred to in this policy as “Birth Data.”
You may use the App without entering real personal information — for example, you can enter a label instead of your real name.
We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, health data, financial information beyond the purchase receipt above, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or any cross-app tracking identifiers.

When you request an AI interpretation, the App sends the calculated chart (planet positions, houses, aspects) and the Birth Data (your label, date, location name) to our backend server hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which calls the Anthropic Claude API to generate the interpretation.
We do not operate any user database. We have no way to look up your records by name, email, or device identifier.
We rely on the following third parties to operate the App. Each is bound by its own privacy policy:

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or attribution SDKs.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), and similar laws, including: - Right to access the personal data we hold about you. - Right to deletion of your personal data. - Right to correct inaccurate data. - Right to data portability in a machine-readable format. - Right to object to certain processing. - Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Because we do not maintain a central user database, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App: deleting a saved chart in the History screen permanently removes it. To delete cloud-synced data, delete the chart from any device signed into your iCloud account, or sign out of iCloud and delete the local data.

The App is rated 12+ in the App Store and intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information of a child under 13 has been provided, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information should contact us at the email above.
Our backend is operated by Cloudflare and may process requests through Cloudflare’s global edge network. The Anthropic Claude API is operated from the United States. By using the App, you understand that your Birth Data, while transient, may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. Both providers maintain data protection measures including encryption in transit and Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers where required by law.
We protect your data using: - HTTPS / TLS encryption for all network requests. - On-device storage protected by iOS sandboxing and the device passcode. - iCloud encryption provided by Apple. - No long-term storage of Birth Data on our server. - API keys stored as encrypted secrets in Cloudflare Workers, never embedded in the App.
No method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we follow industry best practices proportionate to the sensitivity of the data involved.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will notify users through an in-app notice or App Store release notes. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
